We had a nice stay in this apartment. The location near Galata tower is excellent, lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The living room actually has some park views.
The apartment is in good shape overall, dont let the worn out stair case scare you.
The host of this apt. Called Izel is very helpful and informative. You even get a prepaid phone to call him any time.
There were some minus points here:
- both bed rooms are to the small street. Windows are well built but all the random shouting at night and hammering (they are fixing other buildings on the street) from street echoes to the bed rooms. The apt. And building Is quiet as such.
- yes there is air con on both bed rooms but the batteries in the remote control were dead.
Make sure they work in the summer, it was cool enough in May.
- yes there is internet and wifi, but the TV service / music was not streaming but hung up randomly.
These all are minor issues we could live with.
NOT apartment specific issue: ALL Electricity was down in whole Galata area including street lights etc. One evening. So take your flash light with you, to get back home. This power down has happened before recently in Istanbul.

It took some time for the building management to raise the funds, we have started the renovation and painting of the staircase just after you.
It's not going to be neglected anymore, will be cleaner and much better looking soon :)
I wish you'd have called me from the pre-paid phone I gave you about the battery issue for the air-conditioning remote, there was a fresh battery box in the kitchen board. (one remote was working, you could have also use the same remote for both machines in case of emergencies). Anyway, now no problems.
Finally, we have nothing to say but thank you for your tolerance about that random shouts at night. Normally our street is quiet being on the residential side, think this was an individual uncivilized manner.
There is very few we can do about the power cut, can only apologize on behalf of our City.

Casa LoBueno was a very comfortable apartment, beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The stairway leading up from the building entrance to the flat is in poor condition, but we were told that renovation is planned. We were especially grateful for the essentials like bottled spring water, tea and coffee which were provided. Izel was an outstanding host; although we arrived in the evening, he not only welcomed us at the flat but also took the time to walk up to the nearby Galata Tower with us and show us the local area. We really appreciated the tram card and mobile phone he provided, and also the very useful, clearly structured information on Istanbul that he emailed to us. He was always reachable, always ready to help (for example, supplying the special kind of pillow my wife needs).
Casa Lo Bueno is very conveniently situated: we enjoyed evening strolls up to Istiklal, which surpassed our expectations — an appealing mixture of luxury shops and vibrant street life, including some fabulous musicians. The short walk down from the apartment to the tram stop goes through a distinctly run-down neighbourhood, though its former opulence is apparent in the architecture, and some renovation is already under way.
In short, Casa LoBueno is a very good apartment, and one of the best features of staying there is Izel's tremendous, well thought out service package.

Location: very close to Galata tower. The prime area if you'd to stay in this historic zone of Istanbul.
Room: clean and tidy. we have 6 ppl so we need to manage well for 1 bathroom and two toilets.
Service: The host welcomed us quite warmly. He suggests where to visit and where to eats (we followed the list and we found some turned out very good). He even showed us around the area and gave a pre paid mobile phone to contact him anytime.
what to improve: plug is a bit loose. And the stairs smell not very good.

We had a cat problem in the stairways that caused a bit smell, it took a while to train the streetcats but finally managed it :) now, no smells

The apartment is in a great location next to the Galata Tower. It has been nicely renovated and decorated and was very clean. The host was extremely helpful and showed us how to use the public transport and gave advice on places to visit and what to see. We would definitely stay again.
