No lines. Very few people. Great audio-guide. Visiting the waterfront Beylerbeyi Palace is an altogether stress-free experience.

Located on the Asian side of Bosphorus, Beylerbeyi Palace is a beautiful palace which was residence of the Ottoman emperors during summer months. We were very touched by the beautiful reception hall with its running waters.
This palace for some reason is really pushed by tour companies or hotel but it is a summer palace that I have enjoyed visiting twice
The ex summer palace of the ottoman sultans
One that is still very well kept and worth a visit
Was a nice visit looking at the opulent rooms and designs of the palace
Would highly recommend to visit if u are in Istanbul
I love visiting museums and historical places. That is why we chose İstanbul. With our little group, we went to Beylerbeyi Palace with our guide. The building is magnificent and all four sides smell history. But the guide was such negative person that we were shy away from asking for information. What do you lose if you smile and be positive?
This is located on the Asian side just underneath the big suspension bridge. It's not easy to get to, so if you are limited for time I would suggest that Dolmabache palace is a better option.
One benefit is that there are not a lot of crowds, and the highlight for me was having a relaxing lunch beside the duck pond.
The entry cost includes an audio guide around the palace. The main rooms on the two floors have a great design, There are beautiful French chandeliers in most rooms.
Unfortunately a large proportion of the gardens are closed for refurbishment (Sept 18) including the large pool.
Although this is a small palace, it is open to walk through on the inside and the furnishings are amazing. Baccarat crystal chandeliers, beautiful carpets and window features. The audio tour is very thorough and you can take your time inside. Disappointed no photos allowed inside. Lovely duck pond and affordable cafe located in the gardens. The hop-on hop-off bus stops here and I noticed river cruises also stopping nearby. Well worth a few hours.
