My room was spacious, clean and very quiet.

Breakfast spread was huge with lots of choice.

Smallish swimming pool upstairs next to the breakfast area.

Conveniently located near the airport.

I would stay again.

Room: Spacious and clean. Hotel not so new. However still clean and well maintain. Basic amenities.

Location: Right next to The Mall Brunei. Walking distance to Gadong Night Market

Breakfast spread is decent but lots of varieties. Their Nasi Katok is very nice.

Definitely will stay again.

I stayed three nights in this hotel and they were the worst I have ever experienced - the staff were rude or "too cocky" and the restaurant food/staff terrible and unhelpful. After three nights I moved to a cheaper hotel and found much friendlier staff and had an altogether better experience

Room tip: Go to another hotel

the rooms are on the older side, hotel was very empty, and they have a very rigid manager who refuses to check you in until the actual check in time, despite the hotel being empty. Good location for work, as there is outlets around for F&B. Will consider other hotels in the future.

Room tip: Not much of a view, make sure all the lamps and electrics work

The Centrepoint Hotel was in a good location in Gadong district, about 2 km from the airport and 4 km from the city centre. There were many restaurants within a short walk, the Centrepoint Shopping Mall and food court was about 10 minutes walk and there was a night market about 20 minutes walk away. The hotel rooms and décor were a bit dated and could do with an update however, the rooms were clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, which had a kitchen and lounge area, with a separate bedroom and bathroom. The shower was in the bathtub, which was quite high and getting in and out may be difficult for people with mobility issues. The wifi was good and accessible throughout the hotel. I had an issue with the air conditioning in my room where the thermostat could not be adjusted so had to turn the air conditioner off at night or the room was too cold to sleep. Breakfast was a good selection of local and western food and included in the room price. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. As I had an early evening flight I requested a late checkout and this was easily arranged through the front desk. Overall, I would recommend the Centrepoint Hotel for anyone coming to Brunei on business. If you are arriving in Brunei in the evening or late at night I suggest contacting the hotel to arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel as taxis are not always available at the airport.

Room tip: My room was at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was bad at morning and afternoon peak hours.
