We stayed in this hotel after reading all the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. We knew that it was not close to the city centre but the pictures of spacious smoking rooms seemed attractive to my husband and we decided that we'll manage the distance problem with the help of Uber.
The hotel had many good things too but the bad things and bad attitudes made it overall a below average experience.
Our room was on the tenth floor. The lifts were really small and we had to wait for long to find some room in it and they apparently didn't have any sensors and I was hit by its door once and it did hurt.
The wifi was really bad, and we hardly got any signals in the room. We complained about it twice and once they said they conveyed it to the IT team and they will look into it and the second time they plainly said that there are too many guests so wifi won't work.
The phone in the room didn't work. We complained and a guy came to fix it; after he left it worked for one hour and then stopped working again.
The waste bin in the bathroom was broken and I had to open its lid by hand each time and it was a very disgusting experience.
The TV had hardly one or two channels in English and transmission was broken due to weak signals, there was a 3 seconds pause after every 5 seconds and we couldn't even follow the news properly.
The attitude of the staff was overall detached, unhelpful, unfriendly and unwelcoming so it was not easy for us to go to them with our complaints. The answer to most of the questions was, oh we have too many guests.
The staff never ever gave a single courteous smile. Just one girl on guest relations desk Irene or something was good (sorry I forgot the name).
We initially booked this hotel for 4 days and we wanted to change the hotel after that but we couldn't do that as the wifi didn't work and we had to extend our stay in this hotel but to our horror when we got up on 5th day there was no water in the bathroom and the reason that was provided was as usual 'too many guests'. The water was back after two hours or so and we had to go for breakfast without taking a shower.
The hotel was full of young single men and not many families were staying there besides that big group that I mentioned earlier.
However, the air conditioning in our room was excellent. We travel a lot and this was one of the most comfortable airconditioning that we found in any hotel and the breakfast spread was also good. There was a long queue at the omelette station and waffles were mostly finished but still, there was a good variety of dishes to choose from like meat cold cuts, salads, sauteed vegetables etc. They increased the number of fruits after that big group arrived, before that there was hardly any fruits included in the breakfast spread.
My husband and I go on to vacations, mostly to seek comfort. Our ideal hotel is one with fast wifi, good airconditioning, comfortable bed, friendly staff and lots of nice TV channels but this hotel hardly fulfilled any of our requirements.

I’m a frequent traveller, but this year this hotel was the biggest disappointment so far (not that I had high expectations).
Hospitality is an unknown concept in this hotel, it seems like they do everything just because otherwise they would not be paid.
The staff is mostly uncivilized, uneducated and unfriendly. They normally can’t even get a simple task done right (e.g. bring fresh towel, or an orange juice) at first, or even second time, one always has to chase them an explain everything word by word.
Breakfast is a joke, coffee is the worst I’ve drunk since I’ve visited Russia :D
Rooms are large but highly difunctional, with a useless, small bathroom. The view is also disappointing, everywhere you look you would see a construction around. In the gym there are no towels, no water, but you would find some russian looking, smelly locals flexing their muscles, listening to their local music loud and checking what you are doing all the time. Really ruins the experience... Don’t go there and if somehow you got there, run run and don’t turn back :D

Hotel was so good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good and in the city center but nearly far from historical centers. He room was very clean but the nearby street was crowded. The breakfast was so good.

This hotel is very good and staff also good and one is Khatai , Man is very good cooperative and hotel view is very good and breakfast is very good buff-a system. Also location of the hotel is good to go to city center

A beautiful hotel with a welcoming staff. The response to any request was very fast by housekeeping and the front office was very helpful. Did not make us feel like strangers in the city.
A little more guidance about the city would have helped.
But a place to stay at Baku, would say it's a superlative place
