The hotel appears to be aimed at local business people and has a rather impersonal atmosphere. The huge lobby is sterile without any warmth. However booking in was quick and the staff efficient.
The room we had wasn't large but functional although the bed is quite low, about 18 inches high and the mattress was a little hard. There was a comfortable armchair and footstool in the room, a writing desk and luggage rack. The small bathroom had a walk-in shower and selection of toiletries.
Our room on the 9th floor had a door through to an adjoining bedroom and although it was locked we could still here the people next door.
The dining room on the 11th floor was well set out and with an outdoor terrace with views over the city. Breakfast which is included in the tariff was excellent with the buffet offering a wide range of American, Continental and local foods. The dining room is also open for lunch, dinner and snacks although the prices are in line with a business type hotel.
There is a tour operator (Buffalo Tours) which occupies the 8th floor.
All in all a functional hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the D1 area which is only a short taxi ride away. More
