Coral Island was one of the most beautiful and stunning places I have ever met and I think it would be. A blue glassy water that you can see through. we went there for a day trip with speedboat.(we reserved a day trip tour with hotel transfer and buffet lunch and diving). It was about 20 min far from phuket island.the weather was excellent. it was windy before lunch and it became calm in the evening. My husband and I dive in the blue water. it was amazing and the coach was very kind and friendly. we paid about 2000 Baht for photography and film taking under water. yo can also get massage on the beach. highly recommend.

This should be renamed Dead Coral Island as most of the coral is now white and dead, the Thai government should close this island as they have with the Phi Phi Islands.

In our half day visit we walked the beach, well when I say walked we actually manoeuvred through the crowd and did some snorkelling. There is very little live coral to see most of it is dead and white now what you will see is hundreds of plastic bottles and cans in the sea and maybe the odd fish. The sound of the sea lapping the white beaches is drowned out by the roar of the constant speed boats bringing and taking people here. On the day we visited there was a corporate event that involved hundreds of people all getting very energetic about their company.

We would not recommend this island and consider it to be an environmental disaster area. The pictures are not accurate.

We did a day tour with BAN RAYA TRAVEL and TOUR. The speedboat trip was fun. The first island was Rachayai Island and spent 3/4 hr snorkeling.
A bit longer would have been perfect and this could have been the case as lunch was at the Ban Raya resort which we spent 2 hrs at with nothing to do after eating lunch.
Our tour guide was busy assisting with checking in guests and chatting to future clientele.
Of course we could have paid 300 baht to go for a swim at the resorts pool - no thanks, the beach area was rocky and only suitable for snorkeling or diving.
We weren't given the opportunity to go back down to where the boat was moored to the beach area to have a swim.
Finally we moored at Coral Island and spent an hour and half swimming at the most divine beach.
Overall being australian travellers I would highly recommend that you DONT choose to travel with this tour company, insructions was mainly given in Chinese and English was very brief and hard to interpret. I believe from my experience on this day this company caters to the Asian tourist.

My two friends and I visited Coral Island on a day trip from Phuket. It was well organized, the tour guides are great and really helpful and the island had plenty of activities - paragliding, snorkeling, banana boating and there’s a restaurant and bar. The trip suited us, the island itself was very beautiful and we had lots of fun paragliding and banana boating! It was very populated with tourists however if you prefer to chill in peace on the beach this is not for you.

We first found the island on a multi island tour. We loved it so much that we rented a room on the beach from the local hotel, and just stayed for the day with our own private bungalow on the beach. We snorkeled, ate lunch, had fun in the bungalow, snorkeled again, laid out in the sun, and then took the speed boat back to Phuket. It was the greatest day trip we had in during our entire trip to Phuket. The cost for the Bungalow on the beach was $80 USD, plus $20 USd per person round trip by boat from Hotel. Lunch and drinks were around $30 USD. Memory of a lifetime.
