I took a short run through the park like I used to 40 years ago. Near the Military Advisory Group and American Embassy

We spent a lovely couple of hours here after walking round the city. Its a big beautiful park with all the typical thi gs like bandstand & boating lake there is a joggi g track and sometimes fitness classes outside. There are people selling food to feed the fish in the lake and stalls to buy water and fruit at the entrance. It was lovely just to sit and enjoy the peace.

We went in the evening, we were not bothered by any mosquitoes. The park was pleasantly full with joggers and people doing mass exercise to music. There are also numerous water monitor lizards which make for an interesting visit. A nice green space with a lake you can get a boat on for the kids.

The park can be reached from Silom Road and as soon as you enter you immediately feel a calmness after the chaos of Bkk! We walked here twice. First on a Sunday when it was full of joggers and families. At its centre is a boating lake where you can hire little white 'Ducks' which was fun! There are toilets dotted around that are very clean. If you need paper you pay otherwise just walk right in. On the Sunday there was a band playing lovely Thai music. The sound permeated the whole park. We came back on the Monday when it was very quiet.
