A must do site for all. The grandeur and artwork is worth spending half a day. Dont miss the diverse version of ramayana painted on walls. And do take a guide

What can i say,( 500 Bhat)but well worth the price, it was a feast of amazing extravagance, bright and glittering in the sunshine. Dragons and temples everywhere,crazy architecture, so ornate you have to see it to really appreciate it. Worth visiting Wat Pho next to the palace (100 Bhat) to see the Reclining Buddha, you can also catch a ferry boat across the river( 5 bhat ) and visit more temples if you are still up for it.

A quick warning to anyone going to the grand palace, it is open every day even on holidays! I menyion this because some Tuk Tuk drivers and people on the street dressed as TAT officials will tell you otherwise as part of a scam to take you to other parts of the city (honestly fairly harmless although we go dragged into a couple of suit shops when we really just wanted to be out sight seeing). The grand palace itself is beautiful and contains many temples and other buildings I would recommend going earlier to tey and avoid some of the crowds. Worth the 500 baht entry fee.

The site of the Grand Palace consists of a number of buildings, halls, temples, pavilions and museums. Its impossible to fully appreciate the grandeur of this place without spending more time here. There are some 36 venues to see and therefore a whistle-stop tourist view does not do it justice.
