Located about 10 min away by taxi from Pratumun. Location has no other attraction nearby. We went around 10.30pm and waited for about 15min for a table. They charged 10baht per head for seat at the aircon area. But it seems like, there is only aircon area. Pad Thai not too bad, not so sweet as compared to those from food courts.

Second time no cue for 1 minute. Then the cue grew like a snake.

Food is simple and delicate, unlike most Thai it won't burn your mouth.
Everyone has come and written up huge reviews so doesn't matter what I say you will come. Like the great pyramids you have to go inside.

Oh no beer

I went here with my friends, knew about this place from our local friends. the queues is crazy. from the first time i thought it was a small restaurant. but when we step inside, is quite big and comfortable restaurant. the pad thai is a must to try, its not cheap as the other pad thai. but it's reaaaally worth to eat! All the staff are very helpful and friendly ! no wonder they got the Michelin star

If you love pad thai, you mustn't miss Thip Samai's pad thai. Thip Samai's claim to fame is its "authentic" version of pad thai--their operation has been around since the 1950s! I love how there's always a long queue of people lining up for a relatively low-key restaurant in an old district of Bangkok. Its reputation really precedes it.
