Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and great food. A good range of choice on the menu around a eastern Mediterranean theme.

Perfect place for breakfasts that turn into lunches. Good choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes and desserts.

Now don't get me wrong, OR2K is good and when you've been in Nepal months and are craving something a bit different it's great- but it's never quite right.
We've eaten in OR2K Pokhara twice recently and OR2K Kathmandu maybe 6 times in the last 3 months.
We like it, obviously, or we wouldn't keep coming back!
The Pokhara branch is the nicer of the two, newer, cleaner and that stunning view. It's lovely to sit and chill here and just enjoy.
Everything is vegetarian and there are plenty of vegan options.
The menu is very multi national with a lot of Mediterranean, Israeli food plus some Indian / Nepali style dishes. It's the sort of place where you feel confident eating salad.
Sadly everything we've had there has not been quite right, always something that they just aren't spot-on with.
This often comes with a menu that is too large, too varied and staff that don't really know what each dish should be like.
It's something my husband ( an executive chef) has seen many times, first hand in the laces he's worked and second hand in the thousands of restaurants we've tried in the last 6 years of full time travel.
It's quite expensive here ( for Nepal) and they slap on all those extra taxes, so keep an eye on cost.
So good, very good, but not perfect.
They do good dosa... but the sambar and chutney aren't so good. Eggs for breakfast are fine, but the bread is way too big and chewy, dal makhani is nice, but the naan is dry and just...not perfect. The mushroom burger sizzler was the worst of the bunch. The mushroom burgers need review although the sauce and potatoes were good. My son loved his breakfast smoothy bowl, it was his first ever so he has nothing to compare it with, but he loved it.
Decent coffee, good wifi, ( unlike Himalayan Java on the floor below, where the wifi is unusable ), places to charge your phone or laptop.
It's a good choice if you want to spend a little more, but don't expect perfection.
Managing expectations, I think, is the secret to enjoying your travels best.

After our wonderful Mediterranean meal (felt like I was in Israel) we talked for fours with large pillows, candle light and great music.
Plan a dinner here and you’ll build good memories.
