Now that I have recovered from jet lag, I would like to write a review of the Rama Boutique Inn in Kathmandu, Nepal. I spent 8 nights there, 6 nights straight and 2 nights at the beginning and end of my trip to Nepal and Bhutan the last week of October and first two weeks of November. Because the Inn does not sit on the street, there is no traffic noise and it is very quiet during the night. The location of the hotel also makes it ideal for walking to the city. Though the use of a taxi is rarely needed, the staff at the front desk will readily call for a cab if requested. The rooms are neat and clean, and the housekeeping staff are very efficient and responsive to any requests and concerns. The small restaurant at the hotel is great. The staff there are friendly and very attentive, and the food and service are wonderful. However, the piece de resistance for the Inn is the front desk staff. The morning staff, Sabina, and the afternoon staff, Rajesh, are extremely friendly and helpful and always greet everyone with wide smiles. Rajesh never hesitated to make suggestions for places to visit and to give directions, and after spending a long day, it was just wonderful to have him greet us with a warm smile and ask us how our day was going. :-)More
