I was fortunate to spend over a week at the Rama Inn in November 2017. It is well kept, clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant is delicious.
I can't say enough about the staff. They are all very efficient, polite, and helpful. The staff always greeted me with a smile. Mr. Rajesh, the desk attendant, was especially very helpful in letting me know about sites to see , what to do in Kamandu, and getting me a taxi. I would highly recommend staying at the Rama Inn.

Stayed several nights at the Rama Inn. Although this may not be a 5 star hotel, it was very comfortable and centrally located near the Thamel. The staff was very attentive and friendly; the rooms very nice as well. It is a small hotel with 7 floors and an elevator. The restaurant at the Rama was also excellent and service excellent. I would recommend the hotel and restaurant highly. Also, free wifi and a computer in the lobby.

Room tip: All rooms should be good.

Spent 1 night here at the start of our holiday & 2 more at the end of our excellent Lumle holiday, turned out to be a very good choice. Reception staff were so attentive, helpful going that extra mile. The Gentleman on the desk, (don't know his name), made phone calls for us to help us decide the best way to get a guided tour of Kathmandu, & we then made the right choice. We made several other requests which were also fully answered. The Hotel is really close to Thamel & Durbar Sq. within walking distance. We ate at the Hotel both nights & both food & service was very good. Rooms were good & we were given 2 new large bottles of water each day. Shower was also very good, did n't always find this on the rest of our trip in Bhutan.
Overall would be happy to stay here again.

Just fortunate, a lucky day we arrived at the start of Diwali, the Hindu Festival. All the shops were decorated making Nepal very colourful. Thamel, the centre was but a stones throw away (10 mins) were you could join in with the festivities, dancing etc or you could wonder down to the lake for a romantic evening.

Rajesh and Sabina, ably looked after any woes you may have, though I found few. The rooms were of a reasonable size, clean, comfortable with all the necessary washing materials. Even had hot water which was more than we got in India.

Food was excellent and the catering staff were happy to pander to your wishes. You only need ask. The dining area though was small and you could well see a calamity if you had a full house.

Not sure what the Hotel rating is, but 3-4 star is most acceptable, even excellent considering the price. Pity it was only a few days, would definitely go back for longer.

Should you prefer to try the true Nepalese curry experience, there is one next door and a Canadian Medical Facility for any treatment/illnesses should they occur.

Room tip: No spectacular views, all rooms good with bath, and comfort.

Booked 11 night trip with excellent Lumle Holidays and spent several nights in this conveniently situated little as we passed through Kathmandu. It s round the corner from the Royal Palace and the Garden of Dreams...both worth a visit.
3Star hotel with 5 Star staff.
