Staff are very good, friendly, kind, helpful. They all became like family members. We feel very nice. We will come again. We organize tour to Pokhara and Chitwan national park this hotel was wonderful. We ride elephant in jungle and saw many wild animals including rhinos. Very interesting. Thank you.Jojo

I Booked this hotel after reading the reviews here and I was not disappointed.

The hotel offered free airport pickup. The room was clean. The breakfast was good too. An ATM is located very next to the hotel entrance. The Tourist Police is located opposite to the entrance which makes the place safe.

The restaurant in the hotel serves good food. You are anyway have lots and lots of eating options in Thamel, just at walkable distances from this hotel.

The staff was very helpful, especially Pratap Lama.

The hotel does not have a generator, but rooms to have one light which is run on inverter.

For around 1200 NPR for a double room with Airport pickup and breakfast, the stay here was indeed value for money

Room Tip: As the hotel does not have a lift try to stay on the first floor

I highly recommend this place! Staff is very helpful and kind. Restaurant is good and very cheap. Also, one of the few places where is actual functioning wifi and hot water!
Location is perfect, bit hidden behind other buildings so not so noisy.

The pick up from the airport was on time and the staff was extremely welcoming. The room we got was quaint...an old world charm to it. But it was cold tho. the bathrooms are fine except for disruptive supply of warm water. The breakfast is filling and good for a day of sight seeing!
The staff are very helpful and the location is superb with a govt tourist helpline just across the road. There is everything u need around and in walking distance.
The stay was perfect...love Kathmandu :)

The Good:

1. Great airport pickup in a big car with plenty of room for luggage.
2. We were welcomed with tea in the back garden which was lovely.
3. Genuinely polite and very helpful staff.
4. Centrally located in Thamel and conveniently next to an ATM (they're hard to find in the hustle and bustle of Thamel).
5. Clean rooms & good breakfast. Make sure to ask for the Black Coffee in the morning otherwise they add milk to it.

The Bad:

1. The person operating the office for tours in the hotel hounds you down every time you pass in the lobby regarding activities bookings. We told him we'll stop by his office on our last day and look at the different options, but until then every time he saw us he would ask us again and again.
2. The bathroom isn't in a great shape. No hot water at anytime, even if during the heater's operating hours. The only difference between the frozen water and the 'hot water' is that the latter is less freezing. No shower curtain. The general state of the bathroom is a bit shabby.
3. We left a bag in their storage. When we picked it up the handle was completely broken.

*Since this is in central Thamel, don't expect your night to go by without hearing music from nearby clubs and pubs. Which is normal for all hotels in the area.
