very nice day trip. a 20 minute boat ride from Libreville and we spent the day mainly around the pools and had a delicious lobster lunch. The cost includes the boat ride, lunch and use of all the amenities till about 5pm.

We spent a fabulous day here. The ferry, lunch and use of the facilities are 50,000 CFA which was well worth it. The 20 min boat ride gets you there by 10am and takes you back at about 5pm. The food was delicious, the beach beautiful and not crowded and they had a nice pool area if you want to be more social. Incredibly relaxing day.

This is a bit off the beaten path. But if for whatever reason you pitch up there, you will enjoy the tranquil although somewhat desolate location. The beach is totally deserted and borders on a savanna where elephants can be spotted occasionally. The resort is well run and managed. The food is quality, but not outstanding. There are a bunch of quite nice small bungalows where guests are accommodated. The bungalows are air conditioned, which is important because they don't provide mosquito nets. It is a drawback because there are a LOT of mosquitos on this coast. A nice feature is the little tiki meeting areas with comfortable chairs and loungers.
There wasn't hot water in my shower, but didn't really need it because it is so darned hot outside and a coolish shower provides some relief. Swimming off the shore is nice, although the water is murky and can't see the fish except when they leap out of the water (which they do). A walk down the shore is interesting, with abandoned resorts from different era's attempts to develop this area on view. Not a place one would really seek out as a tourist, but where else could one have a luxury resort, elephants and miles of deserted beaches all in one place?

Room Tip: Avoid bungalow near the reception on account of the noise from the water pump/ compressor.

We spent 4 days in this Lodge for Christmas. Amazing team and amenities. Very good service, excellent food ... All is quality at "la Baie des Tortues Luth". Pongara National Park is just next door, Guides took us through all of it... Very professional ! We will come back for sure!
