My husband and I stay here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay. Definitely would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Also, it's a plus that you can walk to Victoria Falls in 10 minutes.

This hotel is in a grand old building with lots of history but despite being in a room in the Stable Wing in the 'updated' rooms I found this hotel cold ( heating didn't work properly) dark and uncomfortable. Incredibly hard mattresses and for some reason in spite of booking a king room months in advance still ended up in a single bed. Food quality was poor including the famed High Tea, while food venues are lovely food itself was not very nice at any of the several meals I had at the hotel. Good location but I would not recommend if you like modern comfort. On the plus side good shower pressure with plenty of hot water and lovely friendly staff.

This beautiful hotel is set amongst lovely trees and gardens with a terrific view of the bridge and a gorge
The room was spacious and everything worked with a lovely bed, pillows and towels
The staff were well trained and very friendly and the outdoor sitting areas lovely
Breakfast was also excellent but the Sunday smorgasbord a bit average
Definitely a recommended hotel with old world charm and excellent service. We would definitely stay again if in Zimbabwe
June is a very good month to be here

We stayed 4 nights over the Easter weekend. We were accommodated with inter connecting rooms. The housekeeping and F&B staff were excellent. They greeted us by names always asked how are day had been and a special mention to Philemon & Simba.
The location of the hotel is spectacular and while we stayed in the old wing we we're happy with our rooms.
We couldn't get enough of the view of the Victoria Falls bridge from the hotel. The afternoon high tea with that view is delightful. I loved sitting in the Veranda even in the evenings.
We would happily go back there again.

One of the most incredible places we ever stayed at. Historical building. Great luxury. Amazing environment. View to the falls and the bridge on the Zambezi.
Service is really poor which in my opinion is unacceptable for a hotel which average rate of standard room is over 400 usd.

On arrival date, we waited for couple hours for the room to be ready, which is normal, and they gave us twin room, we had booked double, which by the way, is more expensive. On the begining they argued and said it was not clear on the vocher, saying “twin is also double”. It took sometime for them to figure out they were wrong, when our travel agent called them.

They have tree restaurants. Two of them outdoors. The indoors one is formal. You have to wear formal shoes and blazer and tie for men, to be allowed in. We did not think of bringing that type of clothes to a place like this, in the middle of wilderness.
Dining options were outside, which is very uncomfortable given that it gets below 6 degrees Celsius at night in June, or room service, which we ended up choosing.

It is really frustrating to come to a place like this to end up dining room service.

It is not worth the money.
