A lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens; Edwardian design with mod cons. The central original building harks back 100 years and still retains the design and feel of the period complete with portraits of George V and Queen Mary. The majority of the rooms are contained within the more modern wings which maintain the design and feel of the original so it is seamless walking from one to another.
My room was designated a single as was a perfect gem! Cosy, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean. Loved the bed piled with fluffy pillows and surmounted by a mosquito net. Beautiful bathroom comes complete with everything including complimentary mosquito repellent!
Jungle Junction served a wide selection of food at the buffet breakfast. A stroll there through the gardens was a morning treat - quiet and peaceful with a view to die for.
There are plenty of offerings for lunch and dinner both formal and informal at both the restaurants and the terrace bar/café.
The staff are lovely - welcoming, friendly and efficient.
The best hotel in the area and worth the extra it costs to stay here.More
