We arrived after 9 days in three camps. What an oasis of sophistication and service! Great room in the more modern stables wing, easy walk to the Falls, same-day laundry service and nice soigné meals in the Livingstone dining room. All staff exceptionally friendly, charming and helpful.

You can see the mist from the falls from the big back patio, while watching the monkeys and warthogs running around in the grass. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, amenities are great. Service fantastic. Only one minor complaint, it's quite a hike to get breakfast! But the food is fabulous

Room Tip: Stay in the stable wing...very nice

A wonderful old colonial hotel with service to match. The hotel may be 100 years old and feels it, but it has a great feel. Located at the end of the second gorge with a view of the bridge and a constant view of the spray from the majestic Victoria Falls. We visited the hotel twice in one trip and were treated like royalty. The staff were all fantastic.

Room Tip: Hotel is only 2 storeys. All are quiet, some have courtyard views, others overlooking the grounds. And some are more luxurious.

We took the reviews into account and paid extra for the stable wing rooms. Beautiful and grand hotel but I was disappointed that the complimentary spa was not complimentary as you have to tip everyone everywhere. Not a relaxing holiday where you pay in advance of everything and don't have to worry again. Carry lots of dollars on you at all times. High tea was lovely but you can't beat the views. We were treated to unexpected wildlife on the grounds of the hotel too eg. Warthogs, baboons, meerkats. Awesome breakfasts and just loved the atmosphere.

The location is a short walk from the magnificent Victoria Falls; the grounds are simply laid out but beautiful; the staff are courteous and attentive; and restaurant service is unmatched, and the food....it was difficult to leave!
