We had lunch on Stanley's Terrace coming over from Zambia. It was surely worth the time and effort to cross the boarder into Zimbabwe. The setting is very charming, with a great view over Victoria Falls Bridge. Next time I aim to stay at the hotel as well.

Salad and soups were tasty . Cold cucumber soup better/ more flavorful than Thai chicken soup!
From steaks to salad and chicken everything was satisfying.
Attentive wait staff.
Amazing views...

We enjoyed our stop at the Victoria Falls Hotel. This is an icon in the Falls and we walked here from the waterfall. We ordered a cake stand to share. The 4 scones, sandwiches, macaroons, and petit fours were sufficient for our family of four. They have a good selection of flavoured gin, but these cost US$10.00 a glass. The atmosphere in the afternoon is relaxed and tranquil. A good place to take photos of the bridge and gorge.

We had lunch at the restaurant on a slightly rainy day, but that did not dampen our experience at all. The service is friendly and quick, and the food choices are interesting and diverse. Crocodile tail in a salad is one of the selections if you're brave enough to try it!
The table decor by artist Larry Norton meant we kept swopping place-mats to see the beautiful pictures.
Of course the setting is stunning, overlooking the gorge and the bridge over the Zambezi, and this makes The Stanley Terrace a must-go place for tea or lunch if you are not staying at the Victoria Falls Hotel.
It is in easy walking distance from town, and the private road means you will not be harassed by hawkers!

Stanley Terrace, I made the mistake of ordering the Gammon and Cheddar Cheese sandwich which was totally lacking in flavour because the bread was too thick, the gammon too thin and the cheese was notable by its absence.
