“a breath of fresh air”
Review of Zambezi House

Zambezi House
Price range: US$5 - US$17
Description: In Victoria Falls within one of Zimbabwe’s Unesco declared World Heritage areas, alongside the shoreline of a world iconic river lies Zambezi House - Restaurant and Bar. The NEW all-time eating house and favourite hang-out emulates the vibrant cultures of African markets and social scenes, whilst showing off the modern trends of “cafe life styles" found in the modern and thriving metropolises of African cities. The epic setting attracts those traveling and wishing to enjoy a mouth-watering meal in the company of a well-balanced mix of locals and fellow travellers from different corners of the world. Whilst some enjoy the ambience of the Zambezi River flowing past and use it as a day's office, other’s will meet at the Lemington's Bar for cocktails or a local beverage at sunset. Families frequent its green lawns and enjoy wood-fired pizza as picnics in the outdoor spaces where the weather is mostly balmy, surrounded by local wildlife such as hippos and warthogs.

We had a late lunch at Zambezi House, the waiter was attentive and extremely helpful. We had the Bream for lunch off the new menu, it was fantastic... I would certainly recommend it. The atmosphere was relaxed and funky.............. We will be back!

One can never visit or be in Victoria Falls and not make an appearance at Zambezi House. The interestingly constructed bar and canteen is an entire experience on its own and a great addition to the Vic Falls hospitality properties. Great design and deco that displays a beautiful marriage between the old and the new Africa. The direct view of the Zambezi river is another plus to this setting.
In addition, although the menu is quite short, the Kazungula pizza is to date my go to selection and the barmen make a mean Long Island cocktail. One thing i would fault though is the annoying wait for a drink at the bar that one is sometimes subjected to. Other than that, BRAVO. Great vibe, friendly and helpful staff and the best drinks in town.

Zambezi House definitely stood out from all the restaurants we went in Vic Falls - we first spotted the place while on a cruise on the Zambezi river, the stylish architecture caught our attention.

The food was delicious, the staff is brilliant and the manager is a very nice person who wants to satisfy every person who steps foot into the restaurant. We started with a pizza to share and we all agreed on being the best pizza we got to try in a foreign country (we are Italian). Then I had the half chicken with fries, perfectly cooked and fries to die for. The sommelier recommended to try a sparkling wine from South Africa which was delicious to start with and we followed with an exquisite bottle of red wine - everything was perfect, top quality dinner for a reasonable price!

If you visit the Victoria falls it's the place to go. Will definitely go back!!

We were directed to the Zambezi house by our hotel and promised great drinks and nice a la Carte dinner options. It was all and more, amazing setting, super nice eclectic decoration, clean and well kept bar, kitchen and bathrooms and super friendly staff. We had a romantic diner a deux with some nice BBQ chicken and ribs and a sea bream plate that was mouthwatering. Very good quality and very nice atmosphere!
