This is the kind of place you go when you are rushing around doing shopping and need a quick bite to eat. The chicken is tasty and tender and the service is friendly. Nice surroundings under thatch and a cool bar for the people who just want to enjoy some drinks at lunch time.

Thank BLBar

This restaurant is situated in a most unlikely place, being in the light industrial site of Graniteside North. The setting is very pleasant indeed, being an open air thatched dining area, with very unusual and stunning solid granite tables / bench seats (I guess in fitting in with the name of the suburb). There is also a fairly big bar area, with seating for pub meals or main courses.

It is apparently under new management and so the glitches prevalent over the past few months, appear to be being sorted out, with service levels much improved.

The food has generally remained very good throughout the difficult times, with pretty big portions at very reasonable prices. On the menu are the normal periperi chicken, steaks, etc but they also have more specialised meals such as butter chicken, currys and the prime rib is definitely worth trying when it is on the menu.

The bar has also been restocked and you will generally find whatever beverage tickles your fancy, from a several brands of high-end Scotch down to the locally produced spirits. They even had Chinese Rice Wine when we were there last week!! Again pricing is very pleasing on the pocket as compared to that of similar establishments.

They are open for breakfasts, with the BLT worth trying and lunchtimes are pretty busy. They are also open in the evenings and apparently have a (monthly?) weekend "gig" as they call it, where they have a live band or DJ till late - either on Friday or Saturday nights or both.
