Description: Situated in the heart of the Northern Suburbs of Harare, Amanzi Restaurant is set well back from the road in 4 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. An old farmhouse, architucturally converted to a stylish modern restaurant. Amanzi has the capacity to seat 100 people. Amanzi offers it customers "fusion" cuisine. The decor is a sophisticated blend of interior styles created to form a backdrop for unusual collections of African antiquities and contemporary art. The water feature is stocked with koi carp, and is floodlit at night. The property is noted for its collection of indigenous trees, predominately msasa, and colourful shrubs, which provide a cool, restful atmosphere.

We had nice lunch served by attentive but not intrusive staff. The gardens are beautiful with a lovely fish pond and nice painting around the dinning area. Shame about the sculptures.

Tastefully decorated place both inside and outside. With its own herb garden, the menu incorporates a number of herbs in their recipes. The herbs are outstanding! Cannot believe this is in Zimbabwe. This is world class cuisine.

Amanzi has nice good (Not if you are on a budget though) and the place is beautiful especially in the evening. The wine collection is very good (Nice European wines). I would recommend it for any one who wants a tranquil environment for the evening. When it came to paying the bill, I used my foreign visa card. However, I was charged twice because the machines were not working well. I notified Amanzi of the double payment and they responded quickly by giving me my refund with in 2 working days.

The setting is amazing. Has a nice lawn for the kids to play on while relaxing. Great place for some drinks with friends and great place to meet for a drink on Thursday and Friday nights. The food is only average and the menu rarely changes. Nothing fancy on the food spectrum, but then there is not really any places with excellent food in Harare.
