Kimondo Migration Camp

What a unique experience! We have just completed a stay at Kimondo Migration Camp and loved every minute of it. The tents were large and comfortable and were located in a gorgeous Serengeti setting. Our delicious food was served at tables under the trees as we watched animal browse on the hillside. The best part though was the warmth and kindness of the attendants and guides. From the cheery greeting as we arrived to the coffee brought to us in the dark before our early morning game drive , the attendants were always there to help us with a smile. Our fantastic guides Qamara and Keko were the BEST! They gave us such special attention and and were eager to show and teach us about the Serengeti wildlife. The highlights were the wildebeest migration and the big cats. This camp was life changing, and we highly recommend it. Karen and Marilyn

Sensational Safari Experience

I visited Kimondo Camp in August 2019 - the last of 3 camps we visited in Tanzania. For me, the highlight of our safari expeiences was definitely witnessing the river crossings in the Serengeti. Our guide, Emanuel Qamara ensured we were close to the bank with prime view of the crossing. His knowledge of the migration and the wildlife in general was impressive and we felt that we were in very good hands. All the staff at Kimondo are wonderful and the accommodation and food were fantastic too! Our very special thanks to Qamara and Keko for making our wild rides in the bush such a highlight. Just remember - fasten seatbelts when waiting for those crossings and you won't be disappointed!

Simply the best, better than al the rest!

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Kimondo camp in september 2019 to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. And yes, we saw them crossing and more than once.This was the second time we visited Kimondo Camp. Fantastic mobile camp, tents are spaclous and comfortable, even the bucketshower is a warm welcome after the gamedrive. Delicious food and plenty of drinks to choose from. Pre-dinner drinks around the "bush-tv" with delicious snacks. The staff is very friendly en they gave us a warm "welcome home again" feeling. The smile on their faces are not "crocodile smiles" as Richard, the campmanager said, but really sincerely smiles. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Perfect location and staff

Our family just returned from living in the beautiful northern Serengeti mobile Kimondo camp and we having nothing but positive and encouraging things to recommend for this site if you are taking a safari. It allows you to live in a tent right in the midst of wildlife that are eating outside of your tent. The accommodations are wonderful and comfortable and allow you to experience your safari in a wonderful wilderness environment but then feel well cared for. So the location and the atmosphere is perfect and then added to this is the wonderful staff. Everyone makes you feel welcome and you are spoiled at every turn. Our game drive guide had a great personality, was enjoyable, and of course very knowledgeable making each drive not only a wildlife experience but enjoyable and fun. The food each day was spectacular and it is great at the end of the day to discuss the day with visitors from all over the world who are at your table. This company seems very committed to doing things the right way and I would return with them without question.

Comfortable luxury meets adventure in the bush!

Everything about our stay at Kimondo exceeded our hopes! GoodLuck was so knowledgable and friendly, was the best guide we had in all of Tanzania. The camp is in a great location with animals all around and beautiful views, just minutes from the river.

The staff at Kimondo are so hospitable– from Remi to Emmanuel, Richard the host of the camp, and even the chef who came out each night to share the menu and say hello.

Electricity 24/7, hot showers whenever you need. They leave a pair of wellies (rainboots) for each guest in their room in case of sudden showers, which we ended up needing almost every night.

"Bush TV" was a highlight each night with the fellow guests and our guides– no TV involved! Instead a roaring campfire, some pre-dinner drinks and sharing stories of the day. Yes there is Wi-Fi 24/7 in the main lodge but try not to use it, just disconnect and enjoy your surroundings!
