We stayed at RIAD EMBERIZA as part of our honeymoon. We found the staff to be immensely warm and welcoming and they couldn’t do enough to help such as fetching drinks and making reservations. Alexandra herself was a wonderful host, it felt like we were staying in the home of a family friend. She offered us loads of very useful advise and provided plenty of info in the rooms.

The room itself was beautiful, the whole place looks even better than the photos, it is absolutely stunning and no expense has been spared.

The breakfast was included and truly lovely, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries and eggs. More than enough to satisfy you whilst gazing over the pool in the morning. They also offer dinner, be sure to prebook if your flight arrives late, though there are many good restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed Limoni.

The Médina itself is very close by and the main square an easy 15 minute walk, you can download an app to navigate it easily. We always felt safe walking around, and being near the souk gave us the best chance to explore.

One note the WiFi is a touch patchy in areas, but we found that in other restaurants too. It’s Africa, it won’t be like at home though we found it more than good enough to keep up with all our correspondents.

Lastly if you stay in the marina there is an early morning call to prayer which will wake you up unless you bring ear plugs. If not just embrace it, it is part of the wonderful Moroccan culture. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Riad recently for five nights. The Riad is located in a great location - an easy walk into the center of the Medina, but on a quieter street. We stayed in the Isadora room and it was beautiful. The bathroom was spacious and the entire place was spotless. Alexandra was a great hostess, helping us each day plan what to do and tips for getting around the city. It truly felt like you were staying at a close friend's home, as you were greeted at the door each time you arrived. Because it is a small Riad (only 6 rooms), it has the feel of a house so you will hear the breakfast being set up in the morning and dinner being cleaned up at night in the courtyard. But to me that adds to the feeling of staying at house rather than a generic hotel. Highly recommend booking dinner at the Riad on your first night also. There is a beautiful room terrace with plenty of space also to enjoy the sunrise or sunset. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Amazing, a paradise, an oasis are all descriptors for this lovely hotel. If you are looking for a Riad in Marrakesh than save yourself the time of reading about other Riads and just choose this one. It has everything. We stayed for 3 nights and had such a memorable time. We felt totally taken care of by the staff because they were so helpful by making suggestions, reservations or simply helping us to navigate in the city. Fatima, Omar, Kate and of course, Alexandra. Alexandra's touch is seen and felt throughout the Riad. She had a vision and you can see her vision fulfilled. Our days started with a full breakfast that was so filling we never ate again until dinner. We did visit the suggested sites and walked miles throughout the city. After our long days the tranquility of Raid Emberiza Sahari was soothing. We ate dinner twice at the Riad and went out to a Restaurant Limoni which was within walking distance.
Our room was air conditioned, had a really comfortable bed and was really quiet. Except for the morning call which was lovely to hear. The public spaces and pool are so beautiful and we spent a lot of time in the courtyard. The local wines were surprisingly good and we bought some to take home. All in all it was a wonderful trip to Morocco which we will always remember.

Room tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Elizabeth Rosa room and loved it!

Marrakech is exciting, frustrating, challenging and intriguing. After a day in the Souk there is nothing better than to retire to the calm elegance of this Riad. Alex is a wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble and your stay in this (slightly hidden) oasis is memorable for all the right reasons.

We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. Alexandra and her staff are very sweet and welcoming and the Riad is just beautiful. You can tell Alexandra put a lot of heart into renovating it. No detail was missed. The breakfast was among one of the best we had. This is a wonderful place to stay!
