we enjoyed a wonderful trip through the desert with Youssef from Merzouga Trips Tours. The tour was by Youssef excellently organized. Youssef has a broad knowledge about the dessert, a place where he grew up and follows a long path of his ancestors. Besides his trustfulness, charme and wittiness he spoilt us with his delicious cooking. for us the trip is an unforgettable beautiful experience - our 4 year old son wanted to return right away. thank you!

It was the best desert trip we’ve ever had. Hassan was a symbol of Moroccan hospitality, showing us a Berber traditions and making the peaceful atmosphere. For us this trip would be memories forever!

Our hotel arranged a 3 Valleys Tour and we were lucky enough to get Khalid as our driver. He was knowledgeable, considerate, and a wonderful storyteller. He made us feel welcome and shared a lot of useful information about our surroundings and the Berber people. He's also great at finding photo opps! I highly recommend Merzouga Tours and Khalid.

We booked the 3 day/2 night Deep South trip leaving from Marrakech, traveling to Merzouga and then back to Marrakech. Our driver, Khalid, was wonderful. He was on time, spoke good English (he also speaks French) and was a safe driver. He is very knowledgeable about the culture and his love of the country shows. We ended up just being the two of us and Khalid, which was unexpected but very nice to be in a private tour instead of with a group. The first day he wanted to get us a little closer to the locals but due to Ramadan the first restaurant he wanted us to try didn’t have food. Our lodging, the L’ma Lodge in Skoura, the first evening was spectacular. The second day for lunch we were more successful and we ate at a family run restaurant near the gorges which was very good. When we got to the desert camp I had been expecting to ride camels to our tents based on my interpretation of the package description; however, we drove straight to it. We had about an hour to settle in before we did the camel ride up the dunes for the sunset. After the ride we had light snacks and then dinner. After dinner we were treated to a short drum/singing performance by the staff. They have a large lounging area in the middle of all the tents for star gazing and they light a fire. We did the sunset ride as well, which I did not know was included when I booked. The tents are definitely the definition of glamping. They have a double bed (two twins pushed together), their own toilet, sink and shower as well as air conditioning. The 3rd day was driving back to Marrakech and it is a long day because it is 8 hours. There is a lot of driving on the trip so just be prepared.

We were a large group travelling together and 4 of us were so lucky to have Khalid as a driver between Marrakech, the desert and other destinations. In a city/country where you mostly hold on to all you got when driving this was the most pleasant, funny and excellent experience. Thanks so much Khalid for the rides!
