We did not stay at this hotel, but we did stop in for a dinner. The three course meal was $40 per person, however the staff let us order two of the dinners for three people and we shared them. The staff was able to explain everything in english and were very helpful to explain what we were eating and the tradition behind it. We sat for three hours and enjoyed the views. We were able to explore the property which is gorgeous.

If you're seeking excellent food, a beautiful setting, and Gnawa music for entertainment, this is your place. Each dish was delicious, the service was great, and the overall experience was delightful.

On a Road Scholar trip to Fes 38 of us dined royally on traditional Moroccan dishes. We were served a fixed menu of 4 courses (sorry, names elude me), appetizers which included lentils, eggplant, salad, and 3 other lovely dishes, a tagine chicken dish which was generous in portion, succulent and had some wonderful and exotic flavors and fruit and a flan type of dessert. The tables were beautiful with exotically patterned and colored plates, beautiful glassware and cloth napkins. The servers were attentive but did not hover and the management were in evidence asking if we had any additional needs. The setting is unbelievably beautiful, serene and authentic. A true oasis to enjoy a relaxing and delicious meal. There are 20+ rooms, a swimming pool and evidence of loving care with the restoration of the building and pool. Modern bathroom facilities, exceptionally clean. I saw photos of a few of the rooms and would love to stay there should I return.

Our meal at Riad El Yacout was our best in Morocco. We loved the Moroccan salads, the pastille. the tagine, the dessert--all of it. Only problem was we hadn't saved enough room to finish it all.
PS: We also loved their homemade chocolate and coconut cookies in the afternoon!

Everything was delicious and nicely presented. if you are a foodie... I think it is best to get the fixed menu as it offers a little bit of everything.
