We recently spent two weeks in Morocco, including 7 nights at two 5 star hotels in Marrakech. Riad Laaroussa was by far our best hotel experience in Morocco. The staff truly make you feel like family. The suites are gigantic - twice the size and half the price of our suites in Marrakech. The location is perfect for exploring the old medina. The pool is warm and well-maintained. We had dinner there our first night and it was very good. Unfortunately we all became ill in Morocco with food or water-borne GI issues. Apparently this is quite common in Morocco. The hotel came to the rescue with three separate mediations and instructions. The meds worked their magic and I was feeling much better in a matter of hours. I actually preferred Fes to Marrakech, and I highly recommend Riad Laaroussa if you plan to visit Fes.
