Description: Set in the ruins of a courtyard house in Old Fez. We serve Tapas at lunch, street foods, also cakes and pastries, fresh juices (eg watermelon or cucumber & mint or date and orange blossom milk) and Modern Moroccan dinners (*7 hour lamb 'Mechwi' or Pigeon B'Stella order in advance*) When it is hot there is shade and sun hats, when cold or wet there is a salon with a log fire. When wet or during high season (Christmas, Easter, May & October) reservations essential. We are situated 5 minutes from Talaa Seghira & the same distance from Batha, there are some painted signs. *No alcohol I am sorry to say* We offer an escort service to & from your accommodation within the medina, call in advance to arrange this (20 dirham) All tips and gratuities go to the staff. There are cats living in the Medina of Fez, they are stray and are pest control for the city, please do not feed them in the garden. We feed them in the street outside and make sure they have water, as do all Fez residents.

Great friendly relaxed restaurant and garden space, tucked away but once found, was a peaceful oasis of plants and good food. A log fire in the end room kept us lovely and warm in the evening.

food was alright. Pleasant staff, no alcohol. They didn't charge us for something we didn't like. Tables surrounded by old plants.

Very touristy, but a nice garden to relax and have lunch, a drink, or dinner. The guys serving seemed very uninterested in their clients.
Our coffee and tea were both really nice.

We got there about 15 minutes before it opened and the two of us sat on a table for 4 and one of the guys told us it was too big for us and to sit on a table meant for 2. Which was fine if he hadn't then allowed two girls sit there a few minutes after us. A small gripe but a bit unnecessary. Food was ok - needed seasoning, but the chicken and the bean soup was good. Chickpea pancakes were really dry. Drinks selection were good. Full of tourists, like us. Garden was a bit ramshackle (Fes Cafe has a more beautiful garden).

I ended there after a long walk uphill. Tired and hungry. It just a ruined garden with some cafe average food. A nice break from the busy Medina tough.
