We enjoyed staying at Ryad Mabrouka very much.
Warm welcome, a lot of personal and helpful information by Pierre-Marie, a beautiful and relaxing garden with a nice pool.
It was so relaxing to come "Home" to the hotel after seeing, hearing and smelling () all of the Medina that we stayed in for dinner twice!
Good Food and drinks, reasonably priced and the very very nice and warm service made staying in even more attractive.
The room was very clean and had everything you need.
The roof top terrace offers a great view over the whole city.
The location is good, too. Easy to reach because it is close to a parking and very close to the Medina.

A wonderful Ryad where we had spent a lovely week.
Thanks to Caroline & Pierre Marie for their warm welcome and advises along the week.

The Ryad itself is beautiful, really relaxing with a nice garden and a swimming pool which will make your journey unforgettable.
You will love to spend time and have a drink on the patio before having a dinner in the garden.
The rooms are huge, pretty, with aircon and with a typical decoration.

The staff is helpful and provided us good advises to travel around (guides, taxi, places in the medina)
The location of the hotel is just perfect and super easy to find. But also very calm, to make your stay refreshing.
You can also have massage in your own room :) Sounds like paraside, doesnt it ?

A great high end Riad (ryad?). The building was refurbished by the owner/managers who are very knowledgable and helpful. It is a beatutiful building with one of the ultimate views of Fez from the top terrace.
There is a lovely plunge pool for cooling you down after the August heat. The garden is lovely although the bees needed a deterrent at breakfast time, that was provided in the form of a plate of jam high on a ladder (very effective).
We had a lovely meal and there is a longer local wine list than many places we stayed.
Our room was spacious and with a lovely fit out. The bed being on a mezzanine above the bathroom - leaving enough room for a table and chairs.
Very central. Recommended

You raise an interesting question : riad or ryad ? Considering the arabic writting the correct spelling should be riyad, plural of the word "rawda" which means garden !!
In Morocco a riyad (riad, ryad) is a house with a garden which can be in the patio or outside of the patio like at Ryad Mabrouka !
Thanks a lot for your very positive contribution on Trip Advisor !

We had a wonderful 2 night stay a few days ago. The Riad is absolutely beautiful and has been painstakingly renovated since 1999 by owners Pierre-Marie and Carolina.

Everything is thought of from the black soap and hammam 'glove' as well as the usual toiletries in each bathroom to the excellent wine list.

The plunge pool is also a must when visiting Fes in the summer. I'd go back like a shot.

Riad Mabrouka is a beautiful mansion, turned riad, inside the medina walls of Fes el Bali. The riad is located a bit off the beaten track; it is very quiet and feels like an oasis in that tumultuous town of Fes. The rooms are large and quiet, and beautifully decorated with art work. Bathrooms have intricate blue and green tile work. AC and wifi work very well. Breakfast is in the garden where they also serve lovely dinners with a bit of notice. The riad is within walking distance of all the souks and monuments. The staff are warm people and very attentive.
