The apartment is easy to find as it is on a main road. The road leads directly down to the sea front which is about 20-25 mins on foot. The area is very local and is a 5 min walk to the Souk El Had which became our local shop, no need for trips to a supermarket. If you do need a supermarket there is a carrefour and Salaam within walking distance but the Marjane is huge but is a taxi ride away.
There is a roof top terrace to view the town and the sea from, you can easily walk to the sea front but the local orange taxis are plentiful and cheap. Around the area there are plenty of local cafes serving great food and 10 mins away is the battoir area where the main taxi rank is, great local food cheap.
The apartment itself has everything you need, the main room is large with plenty of seating and the tv has mainly Arab and German channels but you can take a usb pendrive with films on, Also the channel Dubai One has western films on all night. If you want to watch the football there are coffee houses 3 mins away which show every match televised one after the other.
The kitchen is well stocked and there are 2 toilets, one with the bath and shower etc. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and small balcony for coffee in the morning and one with 2 single beds. It is a real home from home apartment, very easily booked and on arriving we were met by Fatiya and her son who were extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet.
