What Señora Pu does on a 4 burner stove merely feet from diners should make chef's around the globe pay attention. Her slogan reads 'reinterpreting ancient Maya cooking to modern dining' and she does not disappoint.

The menu is varied and interesting and, the service is attentive and the experience one that is hard to duplicate. If you are in zone 1 in Guatemala City and you do not eat here you have missed out.

Be sure to try the 'local' juices. You can ask for a sampler to find your favorite but they are all unique and a great accompaniment to lunch or dinner.

A small restaurant in downtown Guatemala City, this is the BEST Mayan food I have ever tasted. The combinations and fusions of flavors, ingredients are amazing, delicious.... really a great meal! Everything is organic, and even they have delicious drinks, made from organic seeds and plants that are superb, super refreshing. The best time to go there is for lunch, but you better be there early (12:00) or the place will fill up. If you want to try a very affordable, unique, delicious, one of a kind meal... this is the place!

The food that Rocita prepares is authentic Mayan recipes that have been in her family for generations. Her use of cacao in most of the sauces in the menu (and in some of the drinks) is unbelievable; and the combination of spices with specific meats to go with the sauces is nothing but amazing.

The place is very small and she prepares the dishes at the time the food is ordered, so be ready to wait a little. I would suggest taking a taxi to get there finding parking is difficult.

This small little hole in the wall had some of the best local food I have had in Guatemala! The food presentation looks simple but the flavors were complex. The restaurant while small was clean and comfortable. Señor Pu was fun to watch and the service was fast and friendly. I had fish and my friend had the duck and both completely changed my opion of the indigenous cuisine which i have found to be less than appealing on other occasions. The restaurant is near the maine Post office in Zone 1. Take my advice as a foodie....this the place! Check it out its for real.

Cuisine fusion Guatemaltèque à son meilleur! It was recomended by our friend from the Quetzalroo. I had one of the two duck plate and it was fabulous! The sauce was just great. It is a tiny place and if you enjoy sitting right in front of the chef (like I do) you will pass a great night:) The prices are still really reasonnable for this quality of food, go before they go up;) Take a taxi to go it's easier.
