We returned to the resort for a second time--the last time 3 years ago. We were greeted by staff who remembered us and we did them because they are so exceptional. We stayed in the same suite--#11. It is perfectly located. We loved riding the funicular up to the ridge to see the toucans and parrots--a perfect place to have coffee. The meals are outstanding. Loved the fact that they now offer horse back riding, and enjoyed the sunset boat ride. It was so relaxing. The spa and pool are wonderful. It is a great place to go to relax and enjoy the wonderful sounds of the howler monkeys. We are definitely planning a return trip this time to see the macaws.

Room Tip: #11 is great

The facility and staff are amazing. We enjoyed the culinary experience as well as the adventures they arranged. We will definitely go back. It’s great for couples and families. The staff will go above and beyond because they want to, not just because it’s their job.

My husband and I decided to visit the lodge after reading the good reviews and we were not disappointed! The small and friendly staff are amazing, they blew me away when the were able to remember the little things like how we took our coffee in the morning and our vegetarian diet.
The food was amazing, I was a little nervous with only one vegetarian option on the dinner menu each night but was impressed night after night with how amazing that dish was! The kitchen and staff were super accommodating.

My recommendations would be drink a watermelon smash and definitely do the cave and Mayan ruin day trip! Splurge on the canopy suites the view is unreal. The food and beverage package was also awesome.

The only complaint would be when doing the honeymoon package we did not receive the “Floral turndown service upon arrival” or “One romantic candlelit dinner” but the team did accommodate our change in activities no problem which was awesome!

Much love to the team at copal hope to return someday!

If you want to “get away” and still “have it all” this place is for you.
Our family adored our time here. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Accommodations are exceptional- with nightly turn down service- and the food. I mean the food! Bartenders Tim and Ainslei know how to mix it up and are so much fun!

We would especially recommend the tours and guides that are from Bel Campo. We did the Blue Creek/ Maya Ruin day trip and Jose and Vince our guides were second to none.
This place truly focuses on experience and relaxation with an authentic belizian warmth and generosity of spirit.
It’s a bit remote but in our opinion totally worth the effort!

First and foremost, the staff was by far the most friendly and helpful we have ever experienced. Mark, Ducky, Desmond, Jose, Elon, and Captain Jackie were just a few of the many there who made our stay such a wonderful experience. I can't remember everyone's name on the wait staff but they were amazing and always quick to greet us by name and with a smile. The food was delicious! We don't have much experience with farm to table but were beyond impressed. Everything you eat is so fresh. We were joined at every meal by hummingbirds flying around the balcony. It is the perfect place to unplug and enjoy all that nature has to offer. This was our first experience vacationing in the jungle and it did not disappoint. There are a variety of excursions offered that cater to whatever it is you desire. The snorkel with the chef is an absolute must though!
