Upon our arrival, we were sent to the Hotel Rio, as our room wasn't going to be ready for a couple days. When the two days were up we then had a choice of 2 rooms, one on the third floor, water front, but with new flooring that looked like mac-tack; rusty taps; basically run down. We choose the one by the pool, in the back of the building, with basically no view. It was Ok, but did have cockroaches present. After a couple days we were offered the water front, ground level, which we took. There was no ceiling, open to floor above, which we got past because of the view. We stayed there for 12 days, and finally moved for our last 3 nights of our holiday, which was after the night the cockroaches were actually running over us in bed. We had them sprayed 3 times by then, and there was dead ones, but obviously it was infested.
The property managers and housekeeping girls were all very good to us, and bent over backwards to try to make our stay somewhat bearable. There is new owners that have just acquired the property and are trying hard to get it back on track, as the previous owner let it go down. We would suggest it should be closed at least partially to get it cleaned up.
The location is ok, close to restaurants, bars, any shopping we may have wanted. There is no beach in front of the building, it's a rock wall with the water on the other side. There is wooden lounge chairs in the front of the building to use, but there is no cushions for them, not comfortable at all.
My wife and I stayed at seven seas resort for a month in March and April 2016. We got a cab from the airport and went to the office where Tony checked us in and came out where the cab dropped our luggage and helped carry them up the four stories of stairs.
Being on the 4th floor looking out over the ocean was amazing with a nice breeze and beautiful turquoise/blue water. They have loungers in the front on the sand for guests use and a pool in the back.
They offer daily cleaning for free, the cleaning lady's are very friendly and do a really good job. Tony the property manager is on site from 6am - 8pm every day and is so nice and friendly, He will go and get water for you and if you need laundry done he will arrange to have it picked up from the office and he will let you know when it is returned washed, dried and folded then you just pay at the office the price goes by weight.
The condo it self is a little dated but it's clean and everything worked also had air conditioning in the bedroom. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would stay their again. Also a shout out to Robert who worked there and was super friendly.

This is not a place to stay if you are looking for something fancy. Pros: Location is great, very clean, AC works fine and staff is awesome (Roberto's suggestions made our trip very memorable). Cons: old appliances, no restaurant (so you cook your own food) and a tiny pool. Like I said, it's not for people who are looking something fancy. Don't be misguided by the "resort" word in its name, it's more like an old apartment, but it is well worth what you pay for it.
