If your looking for a nice, clean, well run, safe, affordable and easy access, then start your visit at the counch shell inn! It all depends on what you want, and what your looking for! Vivian is the manager caretaker, lives on property and easy access to the owners. Very quaint. Very comfortable bed! Best value for your money !

Room Tip: Seems to me all rooms are facing ocean. Upstairs or downstairs! Great breeze!

Vivian and her daughter Julia have to be some of the kindest people we met in Belize. We were warmly welcomed to their immaculately clean hotel, and our room was always serviced quickly and thoroughly in the morning when we stepped out.

I can't emphasize enough how clean and well kept these rooms are (as well as the building, overall). They clearly take great pride in their hotel. The room was well equipped with a fridge, coffee maker and sink, as well as a secure lock box. Air conditioning was available, although we didn't need it.

The location is wonderful, right on the beach where we were able to watch the comings and goings of boats, tourists and locals. It's very centrally located, one ferry is located at the dock immediately in front of the hotel, the other is a one minute walk down the beach. It's very easy to walk anywhere - stores, restaurants, bars, etc.. are all very close.

On Saturday night it was pretty loud all night long - but then again, you're not staying in central San Pedro for rest and relaxation!

We had a wonderful time in San Pedro, and highly recommend the Conch Shell in for your stay!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms offer a better view, and the rooms further away from the alley will be quieter.

Vivian and Julie looked after us unconditionally. Deliveries, repairs on a Saturday, taxi or whatever information we needed. They were happy and helpful daily. We truly loved the efforts they go through to protect their environment - takes a bit to get used to, but is easy when you get there. I highly recommended this sweet place and we will be there next year!

This is our 4th time staying at the Conch Shell Inn. It is a simple place in a great location. It is near many places to eat and/or buy groceries and it is right on the beach. Vivian and her daughter Julie are the nicest people you will ever meet. They are so helpful and concerned about making our stay a pleasant one. They helped us book snorkeling and sunset cruise excursions, helped us get a taxi, helped us with our flights, gave us suggestions on where to eat , were so complete with cleaning our room, and took the time to talk to us . There is air conditioning available if you pay extra. We have not ever used it. There is a TV but you we haven't used it. It is nice that there is a fridge. Great for storing Belikins (local beer). There are hammocks to lay on on the deck. The shower is not the greatest but it works. All in all, for what you pay, it is the only place we would stay. Again, Vivian and Julie are special. Thank you for a wonderful time. Dan and Deb

Room Tip: We like the 2nd floor rooms and away from the alley

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this very cute inn. We were greeted by wonderful staff and our room was very nice. They provided a mini fridge and microwave which was amazing because we bought a few drinks and just relaxed on the large veranda. This inn is the best location to relax, people watch and watch all the boats/ boat traffic.
