This place is one of the most beautiful places where I’ve been in Florida.
Unfortunately even with the closure of the Park after a certain amount of people , it is still busy with lots of kids. The park is well maintained, clean, lifeguards on every corner, the parking lot is shaded and huge and so many benches are all over in the park to find your own spot for picnic . The concession area is nice also and their prices are good too ( hot dog $3 ; cheeseburger $5 ; ice cream $3 , etc.)
The entrance fee is low, but prepare there’s no reentry! So if you forgot something at your hotel, you’d better not going out because you might not be able to get back ( I believe they close the park after 200 car) . I’m severely allergic for insect bites, so I sprayed myself a couple of times with bug spray. It wasn’t bad at all, but I still got bitten. ..and reflecting for the scary stories: we have not seen any alligators.
