This is a fantastic campground and setting! Made reservations 6 months in advance. Stayed here 4 days in our 25' travel trailer with full hookups on a level concrete pad.....roadways are asphalt throughout the park! Cottonwood trees provide afternoon shade but all the trees were shedding cotton seeds making a mess.....mosquitoes were bad also! Cherry Creek Lake a half mile walk from camp. This is a must place to camp!

We spent 4 days at CCSP in a motorhome. After a lengthy check-in process, and being informed that check-in wasn't until 1:00 pm (it was 12:45), we proceeded to our site in Pioneer Loop. The grass was about a foot high filled with weeds, and it remained that way for 2 days. When they finally cut it on day 3, piles of grass were everywhere, making an unsightly mess. Meanwhile, there was no wifi in Pioneer Loop. They promised that it would be fixed promptly the next morning. Never happened. The positive about the park is that sites are well spaced, Between the park, and Denver traffic, we will not be returning to Cherry Creek State Park,

As full time RVer’s we visit many parks and Colorado’s State parks are among the best in the US . Plenty of room - bath houses are always very nice - one draw back is the quarter showers - they have full service sites - reservations are a must - usually full - 14 days in 45 day out policy - very happy with park - will repeat !

Here it is... just 13 miles from Denver but a most beautiful spot of 100’s+ acres of hiking, biking, rv spots, camping spots, bike trails, fishing and gorgeous tree areas. Quiet and serene place that one can totally relax.

We're here for 2 days only so we won't be able to use all of the amenities- biking trails, boating. The RV sites are wonderful! They are long, level pull throughs which are paved. Our site is huge with a fire pit and large metal picnic table. No complaints about the site. Our RV hot water heater isn't working so we have to use the bath house. It's not far from our site and it's large and clean. I don't begrudge having to pay for my shower, but it should at least work properly. Water flow is extremely poor and they cheat you - the instructions say to slowly drop 50 cents for 1 1/2 minutes then another 25 cents for an additional 1 1/2 minutes. What it doesn't tell you is you have to drop all the quarters in at the same time. If you don't then you start over. It's not much, but I'm already paying for my site. You know? Then, you have to pay $9 per day to drive in and out of the park - even if you're not going anywhere. I feel nickel and dimed and don't appreciate it.

The sites are great, but the traffic to get here is terrible and then once here you're charged to come and go and if you use the bath house shower you have to pay for a puny shower. Bottom line: too much trouble and I doubt we'll be back.
