My flight was getting in late and decided to stay near the airport instead of going all the way downtown (where my meeting was the next day) Did not have time to eat at airport and did not feel inclined to do the box dinner on the flight. The website listed 24 hour room service and the menu in the hotel said late night dining until 1am. Thought I was covered. When I checked in and asked about having a beer and dinner, the front desk agent said, closed for the night but you can get up early and have complimentary breakfast as I am a Marriott Platinum.
When I went to the room, I picked up the menu and it said meals served 11:00am - 1:00am. Called down to room service and they said, closed for the night. No one offered local restaurants, did not mention the snack food near the lobby, just that they were closed. This was at 12:05am. May be making a big issue out of nothing, but why do they post on their website they have 24 hour room service and the menu said 11:00am - 1:00am. Even Tweeted about it and Marriott said they would get back to me within 48 hours - that was 5 days ago. Shame on you Marriott and if this is how you want to treat Platinum members going forward, there are many other options I can choose.More
