A perfect location for Disneyland. We were able to walk over every morning without issue. The accomodaton was fabulous- the place looked just like the photos. They thought of everything. Anything you may need is there. We had 5 people- 2 adults and 3 older children and there was plenty of space! We would definitely stay there again.
The location couldn't have been better, was about a ten minute walk to Downtown Disney, and through downtown Disney to the entrance for the park was probably another five minutes. That was at a casual pace, brisker walking could have gotten there in five probably.
When we arrived, the code on the door to get in wasn't working. I called Wendy and she answered right away and gave me a temporary code to use until maintenance could come to fix it. So we were able to get in right away and maintenance arrived less than five minutes later to fix it. We had 3 adults, a 2 year old and a baby and it was the perfect size for us. The kitchen and living area were big enough for us, (not spacious, but for the little amount of time we spent in the condo, was just fine) but I could see it being pretty crowded with more than 4 adults. As it was, the kitchen area was really only big enough for one person at a time without tripping over someone else. But again, was perfectly fine for us, we ate breakfast there and didn't come back until bed time, we didn't need more, but if big, open, spacious is what you're looking for, will probably be too cramped.
We had zero complaints during our three nights there. (was slightly disappointed we were there during "off" season, so they weren't doing fireworks on week days. Was looking forward to watching those after the kids went to bed from the patio. But that was in no fault of the condo, obviously). The pools were great as well.
Couldn't have been closer, except on Disney property (Decided to stay here for the conveniences of a full kitchen, private laundry, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms which you would not have in the Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier Hotel. and are sooo glad we did!). This place was perfect. The condo was clean, homey and convenient. I would definitely stay again and tell all my friends to rent as well. Wendy is very helpful and accommodating. She stocks the house with everything you can think of...even some snacks upon arrival. We walked about two blocks to Downtown Disney, and the caught the Monorail into Tomorrowland. Saved so much money by eating breakfast at the condo before we left and packing nice lunches and snacks for the day.
With our meandering pace the unit is maybe 7-8 minutes from the entrance to Downtown Disney. A New Yorker or motivated Disney-fan could easily get there faster! So the unit wins on location - no doubt about it. Add a coupe minutes more to get to the ticket booths for Disney parks - or just take the monorail from Downtown Disney and skip that!
But it's more than location- it's also a very nice, comfortable unit for a family going to Disney. The unit has 2 floors so early-risers can go downstairs to hang out while others sleep. All the beds and furniture were in great shape and really comfortable. For the kids there are Legos, Disney/PIxar videos, plush toys and the grand prize- bunk beds! For the grown ups there is a well appointed kitchen, more than enough linens that were good quality (a couple places give you towels that you can almost see through- not here!), comfortable master bedroom and parking right in front of the unit. Even strollers if you need them!
So would we recommend this place? Absolutely. It is a great alternative to pricey hotels that give you the generic "free" breakfast while you are crammed into a small room or "suite." And you can even walk to Disney - no shuttle required.
