These, along with the open kitchen where flames leap from the grill, create a warmth and intimacy in a casual atmosphere.

Fresh local fish is just what we all wanted and it was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and the staff was very friendly and helpful in making menu suggestions.

The best lobster deal in DC. A whole lobster for under $35 which also included spinach. Also the calamari was really nice to share before dinner and to top it off, don’t miss the apple crisp for delicious dessert. Easy to talk, not to loud and the service was just right.

We were able to enjoy lunch on the patio on a warm March day at Grillfish. The lunch prices and portions seemed quite favorable (as compared to dinner prices). It initially took quite a long time for the server to take drink orders, but our service was fairly good thereafter. The bread was very good and our entrees were tasty, though a few seafood items were greasy.

Thank you for the review, and please accept my apologies for the initial delay. I can't make excuses for it but I imagine it was probably a busier lunch than normal...and adding the patio makes it more challenging. With the weather fluctuation we've had lately, we have not a added a third server yet at lunch, as we typically do during patio season. Once the cold is done for certain, this will alleviate the problem!

But the bread is to die for! I have been ordering the Seafood Fra Diablo (sp?) for many years when I come into town yearly for my meeting, and it seems that this dish has gotten smaller with less flavor. There was just enough pasta for one person (there was always a ton) and the sauce was quite watery without much flavor. A few pieces of squid, 2 16-20 shrimp, 4 small clams, 4 mussels, and that was it. $25. Beware- if it is happy hour, you can only get these prices at the bar (and it is small, so unless you are there early, no luck), so you will need to pay full price for drinks and apps.

Friendly and attentive staff, variety of delicious foods, nice atmosphere. Can't fault it. Unfortunately we did not find this place until the last night of our getaway, or we would have eaten there every day. The first night we were sent to Cafe DeLuxe (HORRIBLE) and the second night to an Italian restaurant that left me with cramps.
