In town for the day and decided to try Ted's after pouring over many foodie reviews for DC. Called ahead for "preferential" seating but still had to wait once we got there. Decor is heavy on the salvaged vintage decor. Fun but a little over played. Extremely uncomfortable old school desk chairs! Very difficult to choose from all of the very yummy sounding menu selections. My husband chose the hamburger with bacon and peanut butter (Med rare). Whereas it was very tasty, it definitely was cooked closer to medium well and the peanut butter was merely a scant trace on the bun lid. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup was AWESOME! The grilled cheese was disappointing. Way too much bread with thin slice of bright orange cheese. I would recommend skipping the grilled cheese and ordering the soup solo off starter menu. For dessert we shared a Ted's tart (homemade pop tart) which was very sweet but flaky like homemade pastry. We also shared a slice of banana cream pie which was the best we have both ever eaten! The pie made the whole meal! We will come back to try other items on menu as well as have more pie (pass on tart)!
