Owner description: A 19-foot bronze statue of perhaps the most esteemed founding father sits beneath a columned rotunda in the style of the Roman Pantheon.

Stunning memorial for one of the Country's presidents. From coming from the United Kingdom, it was an inspiring place and a truly stunning memorial. Situated on the banks of the tidal basin, with stunning views of the landmarks of this great capital city. The memorial is a bit of a walk from the National Mall and the other tourist site, but a visit is a must for anybody.

Because the elevator was not working my wife could not get to the level where Jefferson's statue is. She has seen the statue before but that was almost 40 years ago. Wish they could get the dome repaired and cleaned sooner.

Spent a relaxed time in here, watching the sunset and the reflex at the water front was magical. Nice spot but long walk from Lincoln Memorial. Take the Circulator

The Jefferson Memorial is, to me, by far the best thing to see on the Mall. It is a little bit away from everything else so you really have to want to walk over there to see it. It tends to be quieter and more peaceful than the Lincoln so you have time to sit on the benches inside and reflect on the beautiful sayings written on the walls. Jefferson was an architect and you can see his love in the columns and design of his memorial.
If you catch Tidal Basin on a still and peaceful day the pictures you can capture are spectacular.
Definitely try to aim for the Cherry Blossom Festival if possible. You can't find a better view than sunrise on the Basin looking at Jefferson.

Personally this was by far my all time favorite memorial. This dome shaped memorial is so majestic! It’s located on the tidal basin and lots of cherry tees I’m sure cherry blossom festival is incredible. Climb the steps and you can see the White House! Look around the dome and it’s like Jefferson is hugging you and saying you are safe here so majestic!!!!!
