What can you say...a freefall waterfall that drops 1000ft! You can walk up inside the cliff face to.around 300ft and stand behind the waterfall which is an experience especially when it has been raining! The waterfall is beautifully floodlit at night giving great photograph opportunities!

Staubbach falls are very close to the main town/station of Lauterbrunnen and are a great place to visit on a sunny day. The last few meters to the falls isn't disable friendly but even without getting right to the base the falls can be enjoyed in all their might from the nearby road. I would strongly recommend a visit and suggest that one continue walking towards Trummelbach falls to enjoy a longer stretch of the valley. The route is stroller friendly.

We suddenly looked out our chalet window to see the awesome sight of the falls and church steeple lit up at night- lit for about 2 hours nightly. Don’t miss this! I won’t give more away- it has the be experienced to be appreciated!

Lauterbrunnen valley has very many waterfalls. But this one stands out for being very tall (293m) and the water gets converted into spray like droplets before it falls down.

It has majestic views and is very unique.

During night time, light is focussed on the falls, which also gives it charming look.

MUST VISIT

I would recommend visiting this waterfall in combination with a visit to Trummelbach waterfall. It’s small and there is a well maintained path to get up to it.
