This restaurant is rather pricey for Riga, but the food is beautifully cooked and served. I had a few niggles which included refusing to serve tap water (bottled water was available from 3 euros), which is really niggardly in this day and age. Another niggle was that the complimentary amuse bouche contained chorizo and when the non meat eaters in the group requested this without meat, it was denied as they had already been plated up, which was unfriendly and took away from any delight of the original gesture.
My last grouch was that the main course salmon dish was twice the price of the salmon starter, but pretty much the same size. Others have commented on the small portions served.
However, not withstanding the above, the food was good throughout, especially the starters and the desserts. The staff were initially inscrutable but became friendlier towards the end of the evening. If you can afford it then I recommend it, though as please stop being so penny pinching about the tap water!
