During our free walking we sae and visited many interesting sites/sights. This little guy was a fun thing to see. Legend has it crossing a path of a chimney sweep brings luck, however as this one is a statue, rub his buttons.

The story of this bronze chimney sweep is that in old days in Estonia when people saw a chimney sweep then they did all they could to touch the button on his coat. Chimney sweeps used to have golden buttons on their uniform. It was considered especially lucky if you could get the button for yourself, so often you could see chimney sweeps with some buttons missing! So this monument is in honour of all those men who not only climbed rooftops, but also brought luck to the people in the city.

Difficult name for foreigners, means Happy Chimney Sweeper in English. Located near Old Town in Karjavarava Square and since 2010 it's been one of the most funniest statues in Tallinn. It should bring you luck, if you rub one it's buttons(it's already different colour!)

I came across this statue while visiting Old Town Tallinn. No inscriptions or data was available. I did a google search to find out info about this happy chimney sweep. It is rumored that it is good luck to meet him and even more so if you rub his buttons.
