I has an excellent location, right in the middle of the Pest area. A lot of restaurants, bar and night clubs at short walking distance. Comfortable beds, ample bathrooms, nice and kind staff. Highly recommended!More

Cons: There were hairs at the side board of my bed, looks like those were not cleaned. I definitely do not recommend bed number 1 or 2 in the dormitory if you are sound sensitive. Even with ear plugs, the noise of closing and opening door are stressful. The corridor can get very loud even after 11pm leading to 2am, especially with young adults. I was not well informed about the social gathering in the evenings during check in. I would suggest you to check at reception everyday if you are interested. Otherwise, this hostel is great!
Pros: The location is really strategic, simpla(oldest ruin pub) and karavan (famous and cool street food market) are just like 1 min away. Easy to get from the airport; 100E bus; getting off Astoria - 5 mins walk and To the airport, you get on at Deak Ferenc Ter - 9 mins walk. The staffs were friendly and helpful especially Frank. I had a bed in the mixed dormitory assigned next to the door and i couldn’t sleep at all, was stressed with the loud opening and closing of the door and the noise from corridor. However, Frank was understanding and quick to help me in switching to a different bed at 3am. Thank you, Frank. The toilets and shower rooms were cleaned quite regularly and I was impressed. Bed curtain allowed privacy, 2 plug sockets at the side of the bed and a reading light are amazing! Lockers are big enough, was a relief. Requires your own lock, or the reception can sell one for €2. Towels are provided with a small deposit. You can change for a fresh towel as often as you like which is great! Hairdryer provided in the bathroom. Kitchen is available. I didn’t manage to go to any of the social gathering as the beautiful city demanded a lot of walking and i thoroughly enjoyed exploring till late. I must say there are alot of highly rated restaurants and cafes around the hostel. Also, this hostel has mixed age group tourists and surely safe for female solo traveller. Be mindful that this is NOT a party hostel, which was great for myself! This trip was my first hostel experience and i must say, Maverick really impressed me. I was there for 4 nights and would definitely return back & do more hostel trips!

The hostel is near the center and everithing is very cozy and clean. We loved our room and the treatment we received from the staff. They had no problem with us leaving the luggage there until our flight. I will repeat no doubt.
