The location is perfect for exploring central Budapest. Major attractions within easy walking distance or very accessible by the excellent transport system. Apartment is very spacious and well-equipped. The host was extremely helpful and arranged airport transfer which was ideal.
The location is great-half a block from St Stephen's square. The apartment is very roomy but you do need to climb 2 flights of stairs. Janos met us on arrival & was very informative. There is a corner market but you can do much better at the Aldi's at the Great Market Hall lower level. Easily within walking distance of St Stephen's, the parliament, shoes on the Danube, the chain bridge and much more.
This apartment is in the best location, walking distance to restaurants and places of interest. It is in a very old building that gives it character. The apartment is up two flights of stairs and then you enter an apartment equipped with everything you would want. Two bedrooms two bathrooms an amazing kitchen living area, use of dishwasher and washing machine, a pleasure to stay there. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends and family.
We would recommend the Segway tours, we went on our 1st evening a 2 hour tour booked with Yellow Zebra which showed us all around and then we went on to Maragit Island which was a must to see. Our guide was George who was passionate about Budapest history and made the tour very interesting.
We liked the shop near apartment that sold ice lollies and the ice cream shop round the corner that made the ice creams scooping each petal and made into a flower almost too nice to eat, and the choice of flavours amazing. Would recommend trying both. Budapest is a lovely place to visit and so much to see and staying in Alistair's apartment gave you the true feeling of living in Budapest.
Thanks to him for organising our airport transport. Great time had by all.
We arrived late but our host had arranged a pick up for us and he was there.
Half hour ride to town, couple of flights to climb but that's ok as it helped to work of all the good food a beer. Nice large airy apartment, great kitchen perfect for cooking meals as we did not eat out every night.
TV full of bad English tv cooking shows and Australian commercial stuff, but that was alright by us, as we had come to see the town's sights during the day and the bars and clubs by night .
Unfortunately the apartment had No air conditioning, only fans, but there were local restaurants and bars near by that did have AC, so it was just a matter of avoiding the middle of the day. Plus the fact it was a very hot Summer.
Will certainly recommend the apartment to my friends and if visiting Budapest again will certainly try to stay there..
Janos and Alastair were extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was well furnished and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. Everything was easily walkable or public transportation was easy.
