Great location, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. I asked to change rooms because the son came to me. And this request was fulfilled immediately. My luggage was moved quickly and carefully. The hotel is within a major shopping center. This is convenient for those who love shopping. it did not matter to me. Despite the fact that the hotel is located on the main street, the rooms do not hear the noise from the machines. Bed and pillows very comfortable. My sleep was fine. The breakfasts were great! Minuses: no disposable slippers and robe, no means of Uhud shoe, no-magnifier mirror in the bathroom.  The rest of the cons I have not seen. I can safely recommend this hotel for leisure and business travelers. Google Translate for Business:Translator ToolkitWebsite Tran

I was booked into this hotel for a three day business trip to Budapest.
The staff is very friendly and efficient, from check-in to "problem solving" all up to international standard.
The hotel can be recommended if you don't look for the outrageous extra-fine experience - solid accommodation without worries.

Grand hotel near main train station, was very easy to find in the middle of all attractions! The Hotel staff where attentive, polite and very helpful! Every night they picked us lovely restaurants and arranged taxis. The second night at the bar he knew our order and brought drinks over we was very impressed. Overall lovely stay very impressed, would stay again!

Room Tip: Not first floor

I will need to write a long review because there are few things I would like to comment.
First of all location is not the best, in fact most 5* are together close to the Chain bridge which is much better option. Westend might sound like a good place but really even the Shopping Mall is nothing special and I would not recommend it. Of course you have Metro next to the hotel but Budapest is very walkable anyway.
Building itself is a modern one part of the shopping centre, lobby area is very normal in fact ugly.
I arrived to Budapest very early morning at 6am and of course I was not expecting a room at that time so early but despite I am a Hilton Honors member I didn't get a room until 2pm which was not very good.
Room was good size but very very dated furniture, it was a corner room that had a strange recess area that it could be even a small study or sitting room but it was just empty with some cheap shelves at the back and no door so basically you were in bed facing that very awkward empty space.
Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom was actually also ok.
I saw reviews complaining about not having free Wifi in the room and this is not true. You enter you surname and room number and you get 2 options, being one free standard connection for a week which is enough for browsing, Facebook, messengers, you tube and even calls via WhatsApp.
I had one experience which was not proper of a 5* hotel, I bought some wine and as there was no bottle opener in the room, I asked room service to bring me one. They did and they waiter insisted in opening the bottle himself because he only had one bottle opener and could not leave it to me!!! Very strange and not professional...
Then breakfast, sometimes some hotels forget that breakfast is not free and that in fact we the guests have to pay a lot of money for it so they have to make it worth it. What happened to the famous Hilton Breakfast???
Today you get a good choice even in a 3* hotel, for a 5*you expect something special and you are paying for it.
Horrible frankfurt mini sausages, the worst scramble eggs I ever had, no home made bread, not good coffee, no fresh juices really terrible.
Also I asked the waiter for a little hot milk and although there were not so many people at that time, she forgot and only brought it at the end when I had finished my coffee, again little details you don't expect in a 5*.
Finally check out was fast and smooth and charged correctly, I was worried in case they would charge for the Wifi but not.
Overall, I think Hilton in Europe is not so good like in other continents, thats my personal experience and for the price I would definitely choose another 5* in Budapest.
Hilton Budapest City I do not recommend it at all.

During 03-2016 Istcno hotel was amazing, the hotel staff smiling and welcoming, great service! The hotel facilities meet the expectations and beyond, we took the best room and it was just great, spacious and has facilities including 40-inch LG TV. The hotel is close to existing city transport station includes a red tour buses, the largest shopping mall adjacent to the hotel with a connecting door. Highly recommend and love the hotel.
