Worth a visit here. We did a hop on hop off City Sightseeing tour and popped off here for 20 minutes for photos. Sadly we had little time to go back and explore for longer.

I recommend you visit the Heroes square during your hop on hop off bus tour and then behind it you will find the city woodland park (Varosliget) and you can spend some nice time at the park .

One of our city tour stops was at the Heroes’ Square in Budapest. The life size statues are amazing and with the tour guides help we were able to understand their significance.

We took the metro for a few stops to visit Heroes Square. It was raining so didn’t stay long but there’s lots of history behind the statues and the square itself. I am sure the square has much to offer in the summer

There are two museum type places either side of the square which we visited too.

The largest and by far the most impressive square of Budapest is also perhaps the most visited one. Flanked by the Museum of Fine Arts and the Kunsthalle, this iconic square has the Millennium Monument which has the statues on horseback of the 7 Magyar Chiefs. Adding to the grandeur of the square are the two impecable Colonades with statues of other heroes
