This hotel is beautiful and sits right across the Danube River from Buda Castle and near the Chain Bridge. You could not ask for a better location. The rooms are nice and comfortable, but I wish I had gotten a room with the spectacular view of the river instead of the one I had,

Room Tip: ask for a room with a river view

This hotel is stunning. Sat on the river side the view of the buildings across the water is eye wateringly beautiful, day and night. Room was spacious and clean, bed super comfy, and I had the most delicious continental breakfast sat on my bed admiring the view, really good value and you get a lot of food for the price.

Wish I was here longer than one night! Definitely ask for a river view room.

Thanks!

True to the Intercontinental Family of Hotels, this elegant Grand Dame hotel is right by the Danube. Why be anywhere but where the IN crowd is? Very attentive and friendly staff, and most helpful with any needs you may have. I will stay here again. Can’t be beat...price-wise also a bargain compared with other European hotels of the same class.

Room Tip: Insist on a river-view room.

Great location with amazing view of the Buda palace. Rooms had nice size and beds were comfortable. Overall the hotel is starting to get a bit old, and some renovation would hurt.

Splurged on a weekend with access to the executive floor. with nice snack and local drinks to taste. Staff were very professional and helpful. A young lady at the executive concierge who was amazing at helping us finding a restaurant on a busy saturday night in Budapest. In addition to persuading the restaurant to get us an outdoor table, she remembered it was birthday dinner. Secretly informing the restaurant manager, making it a great night to remember. Too bad we didn't catch her name to give her an extra well deserved shout out.

Had a completely different experience in main bar (Ground floor). Staff were quite rude, and we felt like we were bothering them when trying to order drinks. When asking if we could sit at outdoor seating area to enjoy the view and people watching, they seemed annoyed and told us we could use it if we absolutely had to (it was not even that late). Needless to say we preferred to use the executive area with a much more professional staff.

Spa was nice, didn't try the spa area but did treatments. Not cheap a but the experience and comfort as expected on a 5* hotel.

On the other hand I am sorry for the inconsistency in our services in the different outlets. I shared your feedback with our Director of Food&Beverage for immediate actions and improvement.

Stayed here during our visit to Budapest in June. Upgrade to suite 826 with outstanding view to the river and Buda palace on the opposite side. Probably the best location for any major hotel in the city, right on the riverfront and riverwalk promenade with all restaurants and nightlife activities. Breakfast exceptional and executive lounge well situated first level with all city activities front view!

Room Tip: River front view!
