What an amazing meal. We came here as it is listed on Tripadvisor as the best schab (breadcrumbed pork) in Warsaw. IT IS!!!! Just a huge but high quality meal. We will come here again for sure. Steve & Edyta

We've run into this restaurant by accident after having a business meeting nearby. The place is not very spectacular in terms of decor, but the food turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Traditional zurek served in a bread bowl was very tasty, same goes for hering and pirogi. Overall a very positive experience, would definitely return!

Popped in for quick lunch. Had barszcz znd żurek. Żurek was excellent! Pierogi and placek bo zbójnicku didn't disappoint. Tasted fresh and most homemade. Barszcz however tasted processed. Good and traditional polish food but no wow effect. Cute decor and friendly staff. The place filled up within minutes so if you're looking for something tasty to eat before catching a train or a bus defo worth trying.

On entering we greeted the staff in English, and were given a menu written in Polish, were seated at the back of the restaurant and waited.... 20 minutes later we got some attention and we could ask quickly if there was a menu in English. YES!!! There was one... ok, 10 minutes later, we got one. Then waited again for 20 minutes to place our order. Chicken soup with noodles- in Australia, this would be 50 c noodle soup chicken salt taste. Disappointing...then we had potato cakes with goulash (we ordered actually something else but didn't say anything as this plate looked OK), the potato cakes were not made from fresh ingredients and looked grey and drab. The sauce on top of it was hiding the sad looking cakes well. We had the orange hot beer - which was OK and the gluhwein which was totally tasteless and not OK. I had a sneek peek in what others around us were eating and all the food looked like fried-out-of-a-bag pub food quality. The service was poor, although we saw only one person working in that restaurant. We would never go here again.

I spend a few days a week in Poland at the moment and restaurants are excellent. Hektor is my favorite place for a nice casual meal in typical surroundings.

It's not trying to be a big tourist destination but it does simple Polish food very well.

I've had the fried pork. Which we would call a schnitzel in the uk(which is huge) the tartar.,perogi and the beetroot soup. All very nice.

There is an English menu but it's not a tourist local so don't expect the staff to speak English. But they are super helpful and will read from Google translate on your phone so no need to panic is you don't know your Tylek from your lokiec.

Prices are reasonable compared to Poland but if you are English/German/American etc it will seem very cheap, if you are japanese, Swedish or South Korean (or another country with a strong currency) if will feel almost free.
