“Modern Vacation Rental in Central Zakopane”

We rented the Bystra Woda apartment for a four night stay in early August. Our group consisted of four adults and two kids.

The apartment is a modern, airy two-bedroom, with a living room, full bath, kitchen, and dining area. There is a full-size patio connected to the living room, and another, smaller one with entrances from both bedrooms. The facility is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine. There is no dishwasher and no air conditioning. The apartment is on the main floor.

The apartment is located about an 800 meter walk from the train and bus stations, and about 1 kilometer from the main street of Zakopane, Krupowki. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, except for a large fire brigade station next door. The fire trucks with their sirens were not too obnoxious, with not too many departures. Nevertheless, when one left at night, it was definitely noticeable.

There are a number of grocery stores within about 500 meters, including Tesco and Biedronka. And plenty of restaurants, if you choose not to use the apartment’s kitchen facility. We saw at least two places nearby that offered so called “home meals,” or “obiady domowe” in Polish. This is a fixed menu meal, with the menu changing every day of the week. One of the places serving obiady domowe was a school, about a 150 meter walk East of the apartment, past the fire station and across a major thoroughfare. This one was particularly memorable for very delicious and generous meals, costing only 20 zloty (less than $6) for all three dishes together.

The apartment rental is also a very good value for a group travelling together. We initially booked a hotel for the four nights. The three rooms that we needed to accommodate the group would have cost more than twice the expense of the apartment; I’m glad that we found this alternative. We very much enjoyed our stay at Bystra Woda.

“Great location, very comfortable”
Reviewed 3 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Lovely place, located 15mins away from the centre, with lots of supermarkets and ski rentals. It was great having a car, so we could explore other attractions in Zakopane.
However, cab service was very cheap too.
Apartment was very clean, warm and well equipped.
Had a fantastic time.

“Fantastic Apartment in Amazing Town.”

Came across this apartment on the TA site, when looking for somewhere to stay in Zakopane. You book direct with the owner via the TA site and pay via PayPal. First time I have come across this arrangement, but it worked well with good communication with owner. However you do need to communicate with the local manager a couple of hours before arrival to avoid delays with key pick-up
Since you are already on this page there is no point in describing the apartment, suffice to say the TA description is accurate and the photos up-to-date. The apartment though is quite a bit larger than it appears in the photos, a good size for our family of five. Externally there are small balconies off each bedroom, since the apartment is on the ground floor the view is not panoramic ! However there is a large patio area off the lounge which is large, enclosed and safe for young children.
The apartment is located a comfortable 10 min walk from the main street, and about 5 mins from the bus depot, where day trips mostly depart from. On the walk into town you pass a couple of supermarkets and also a restaurant similar to the main street restaurants, only a bit cheaper and friendlier. As mentioned previously, there is no Wi-Fi but Samanta's at the end of the road has free access and makes a great stop for coffee and cakes whilst picking up e-mails.
The apartment block is modern, and I would imagine is mostly holiday lets. Other apartments appear for rental on other sites, but appear more expensive.
The only downside is that the block is next to the fire station and the apartment is on the station side. We were awakened by a minute or two of siren noise on 3 of our 7 night stay. Other than that, this is a great place to stay.
