“Another example of great architecture”

Municipal House Hall

Lovely building. Unfortunately, didn’t have enough time to do the tours of both the Old Town Hall, Tower and Municipal House Hall.
Would definitely recommend the tour and to see as much of the different types of architecture in Prague.
For those interested in architecture, this city is brilliant.

We found this on our travels at night, it is beautiful all lit up. I wish we had made time to go inside as it looked amazing, next time we visit I am going for coffee and cake

Another example of art nouveau architecture. Be sure to go inside and check out the neat tile on the walls.

We wandered into the building to go to the restaurant and noticed that tours of the entire building were available. We came back the next day to do the English tour and were very glad we did. The decoration in the rooms is amazing and the guide did a great job of explaining. We went to a concert there the next evening and enjoyed that as well. Note that to see all of the rooms on the second floor you have to take the tour, but it is well worth the time and money

Wheelchair access - NOT instantly apparent.
Concert - 60 minutes by a 5 piece stringed Chamber Orchestra costing 33€ each.

The concert comprised a selection of popular classical pieces ending with a wonderful rendition of Johann Strauss II’s: Pizzicato Polka.
There are 3 price levels of seating with the higher prices reflecting proximity to the musicians but not the comfort of the seats.

We suggest avoiding the most expensive because the setting is NOT in the main concert hall but down the stairs in a room that was not designed with acoustics in mind.
