This church, seen from the square, looks like all the evil castles of Disney, with its black towers and spikes. You get to it from an alleyway between 2 restaurants that leads to a small courtyard and front door of the church. They were advertising a concert of Mozart the next night and we went. the inside of the church is a wonderful example of Gothic architecture and the acoustics were amazing. Loved the concert and the church!

There was a dancing panda out in the square near this place. Got a huge kick out of that. Definitely go see this during sunset. The light plays with the textures of the building more that words can really describe.

This truly is one of the most stunningly beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. The two spires stand tall over old town square and are lit up of an evening, so beautiful. The way into the church is a bit tricky but once you’re in there it’s well worth it. A truly wonderful place.

The Church of Our Lady Before Týn, (Kostel Panny Marie Pred Tynem), is beautiful and well worth a visit, but its entrance from the Old Town Square is rather obscure! Head towards the left-hand corner of the building, when viewed from the square almost to the narrow street of Týnská, where you will find the entrance through an arched doorway and a narrow alley. Entrance is by donation, but no photography is permitted. Recitals are frequently performed in the church capitalising on the magnificent acoustics.
For the best view of the external architecture of the church, go up the Clock Tower on the opposite side of the Old Town Square or photograph it from the narrow street leading to the Old Town Hall. You need to spend about 30 minutes in the church.

Lovely architecture! You can't miss it if you are near the Old Town Square. The entrance is hard to find but is sandwiched between restaurants in the square. We didn't pay a fee to go in. Inside is pretty but a typical cathedral. Wasn't as spectacular as other cathedrals but nice. Can't take photos although most ignore those signs. Worth a quick pop in if you are in the square!
